Socialize Your Children While You Guide Their Education

One of the major myths about public e-schooling is that the children aren't exposed to social interaction. At the Wisconsin Virtual Academy, we take great care to bring families, teachers, neighbors, and the WIVA community together through numerous service days, science fairs, spelling bees, and other outings each year. Some of the places we go include:

Museums
Roller- and ice-skating parks
Local zoos
Parks
Libraries

Form strong relationships outside of school
Between WIVA outings, neighborhood play dates, and community sports programs, many of our students find their social lives are just as enriching as their educational lives. In fact, some children see their relationships with other children improve when they are removed from the competitive social structure of bricks-and-mortar schools!
